Jenny Helman is a Holistic Nutrition Consultant in private practice (Healdsburg Nutrition) in Healdsburg, California. She graduated with honors from Bauman College in Penngrove, California in August 2014. After a successful 25 year career in the Sonoma County wine industry, Jenny changed paths to combine her passion for healthy eating with a desire to help others change their health through nutrition.  Jenny has personal experience with managing her own pain by changing to a healthy diet and lifestyle. She now provides advice on nutrition to help people be well through individualized programs. Jenny also teaches nutritional seminars. Her clients include Amy’s Kitchen, Varenna, an exclusive senior living development, and the Airport Health Club and YMCA in Santa Rosa, California.  She also works with The Ceres Community Project where she teaches  nutrition education classes at The Forestville Wellness Center. Jenny is  preparing to take the national board certification in Holistic Nutrition Consulting in July 2015.
Jenny is also a Senior Peer Counselor Volunteer with the Community Family Service Agency in Santa Rosa, California and it is because of her work with the at risk senior citizen population in Sonoma County, that she became an ambassador for, a non-profit agency that helps food banks and food pantries provide healthy food through the education of their donors and recipients. Jenny also volunteers with the Council on Aging by writing the nutritional copy on the back of their monthly menus.
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys working in her garden with her husband, Joel, where they cultivate vegetables, fruit trees and healing herbs. She also enjoys hiking and reading.
